These aren’t the Droids you’re looking for

So having had both a Galaxy S4 and an iPhone 5S for the last year and now upgrading to the iPhone 6 Plus I’ve had a chance to do some side-by-side comparisons.
Now this isn’t another bash here or bash there but rather wanted to put something out there that annoyed me about iOS. On Android you can get an app called Screen Filter that lets you really dim the screen beyond what the OS lets you from the slider.
iOS doesn’t have the ability currently to allow 3rd party apps to provide this functionality. But wait! A couple of nifty little features that are built into iOS but are hidden.
Below is the steps to setup a quick way to enable a screen dimmer that is perfect for those late night reading sessions.

1) Settings -> General -> Accessibility -> Zoom -> Enable Zoom
2) Tap the screen quickly with three fingers three times
3) Press ‘Choose Filter’ > ‘Low Light’, then set Zoom Region to “Full Screen Zoom”
4) Settings -> General -> Accessibility -> Accessibility Shortcut (it’s at the bottom) -> Set to “Zoom”
